Well, the fabulous Mr. O, America's inelgible Kenyan born President, was roundly received with the 2nd biggest drop ever in a stock market for a President-elect since Woodrow Wilson in 1916. And Wilson had a little skirmish called World War 1 going on.

Additionally, the rest of the world was rooting for Obama because they knew he was an empty suit and they could try his chin right away...and they have.

They had not blown out the candles on his celebration cake when Russia began talking about placing missles on the Poland border (recall The Missles of October, the crisis JFK immediately faced with the Cuban missles), the North Koreans said they have already exploded one nuclear device and know how to do more, the Palestinians are talking about scrapping the peace truce on the Gaza Strip powder keg and the Afghani government wants to tell our mlitary to forego surgical airstrikes because of the collateral damage. They think it should be ground troops.

How about George W. just yank all our troops and before you could roast a goat over an open fire... the Taliban will be back.

No problem, Mr. O is going to unconditionally sit down with all these people, as well as Raul Castro.

Of course, the first sound bite from the Obama camp is that the problems they will face cannot be solved in HIS first four years.

For the second straight day the market has plummeted with the knowledge that Barack (The Kenyan) Obama is at the helm.

Not only did we witness a drop of -443.48 today which makes for a two day total of -929.49, a full -9.9% but Goldman-Sach and CitiGroup announced additional massive layoffs

JPMorgan will close its "prop trading" desk, and Morgan Stanley may make similar moves.

For those unfamilair with the term "prop desk " it is short for proprietary trading desk.

Yes, these people have such faith in the market that they are closing down their own trading!!!

Morgan Stanley states that they believe the industry has been unfairly painted with the "blame brush."

"It was consumers getting in too deep and lax regulators that made the debt bubble now being unwound."

And then there is the money market fund crisis that will follow the hedge fund crisis we are in but will be ahead of the credit card crisis that will begin to unravel in Q2 of 2009.

It appears the Treasury isn’t going to guarantee money markets after December 18th, and will only guarantee funds already in money markets on September 19th.

Here is what Schwab just released today to their money maket holders. Now the only differnce between Schwab and your bank is that your bank won't have to report this to you until years end.

The US Treasury Temporary Guarantee Program provides a guarantee to participating money market mutual fund shareholders based on the number of shares invested in the fund at the close of business on September 19, 2008. Any increase in shares in the account after the close of business on September 19, 2008, will not be guaranteed.

No response from the Kenyan-Elect President of the United States of AmeriKenya, yet but here is what just happened:

In a record bailout of a private company, the government on Monday provided a new $150 billion financial-rescue package to troubled insurance giant American International Group, including $40 billion for partial ownership.

The action, announced by the Federal Reserve and the Treasury Department, was taken as it became increasingly clear that an original financial lifeline thrown to AIG in September would be insufficient to stabilize the teetering company. All told, the moves boost aid to the company to more than $150 billion. Fed officials, however, expressed confidence that the money would be repaid to taxpayers.

The $40 billion infusion comes from the recently enacted $700 billion financial bailout package. The government is buying preferred shares of AIG stock, giving taxpayers an ownership stake in the company. In turn, restrictions will be placed on executive compensation at the firm.

As part of the new arrangement, the Federal Reserve is reducing a $85 billion loan it had made available to AIG to $60 billion. The Fed also is replacing a separate $37.8 billion loan to the insurance company with a $52.5 billion aid package.

The actions were needed to "keep the company strong and facilitate its ability to complete its restructuring process successfully," the government said.

Shares of AIG surged on the news, gaining 48 cents, or 22.3 percent, to $2.59 in morning trading. The company's stock has traded between $1.25 and $62.30 in the past year.

It marked the first time money from the $700 billion bailout package Congress enacted last month has gone to any company other than a bank.

The Treasury Department, which is overseeing the program, has promised to inject $250 billion into banks in return for partial ownership. The original notion behind the bailout package was to help financial institutions lend money more freely again, one of the main reasons the economy is in danger of getting stuck in a long and painful recession.

WHITE GUILT IS DEAD

Look at my fellow conservatives! There they go, glumly shuffling along,
depressed by the election aftermath. Not me. I'm virtually euphoric. Don't
get me wrong. I'm not thrilled with America's flirtation with neo socialism.
But there's a massive silver lining in those magical clouds that lofted
Barak Obama to the Presidency. For today, without a shred of intellectually
legitimate opposition, I can loudly proclaim to America: The Era of White
Guilt is over.

This seemingly impossible event occurred because the vast majority of white
Americans didn't give a fluff about skin color, and enthusiastically pulled
the voting lever for a black man. Not just any black man. A very liberal
black man who spent his early career race-hustling banks, praying in a
racist church for 20 years, and actively worked with America-hating domestic
terrorists. Wow! Some resume! Yet they made Barak Obama their leader.
Therefore, as of Nov 4th, 2008, white guilt is dead.

For over a century, the millstone of white guilt hung around our necks,
retribution for slave-owning predecessors. In the 60s, American liberals
began yanking that millstone while sticking a fork in the eye of black
Americans, exacerbating the racial divide to extort a socialist solution.
But if a black man can become President, exactly what significant barrier is
left? The election of Barak Obama absolutely destroys the entire validation
of liberal white guilt. The dragon is hereby slain.

So today, I'm feeling a little "uppity," if you will. From this day forward,
my tolerance level for having my skin color hustled is now exactly ZERO. And
it's time to clean house. No more Reverend Wright's "God Damn America," Al
Sharpton's Church of Perpetual Victimization, or Jesse Jackson's rainbow
racism. Cornell West? You're a fraud. Go home. All those "black studies"
programs that taught kids to hate whitey? You must now thank Whitey. And I
want that on the final.

Congressional Black Caucus? Irrelevant. Maxine Waters? Shut up. ACORN?
Outlawed. Black Panthers? Go home and pet your kitty. Black separatists?
Find another nation that offers better dreams. Go ahead. I'm waiting.

Gangsta rappers? Start praising America. Begin with the Pledge of
Allegiance. And please.no more ebonics. Speak English, and who knows where
you might end up? Oh, yeah.pull up your pants. Your underwear is showing.

To those Eurosnots who forged entire careers hating America? I'm still

class envy and American unfairness when you and your black wife went to Ivy
League schools, got high-paying jobs, became millionaires, bought a mansion,
and got elected President? How unfair is that??? Now, Like a delicious
O'Henry tale, Obama's spread-the-wealth campaign rendered itself moot by
it's own victory! America is officially a meritocracy. Obama's election has
validated American conservatism!

That's the sound of my foot kicking the door shut on the era of white guilt.
The rites have been muttered, the carcass lowered, dirt shoveled, and
tombstone erected. White guilt is dead and buried.

However, despite my glee, there's apparently one small, rabid bastion of
American racism remaining. Black Americans voted 96% for Barak Obama. Hmmm.
In a color-blind world, shouldn't that be 50-50? Tonight, every black person
should ask forgiveness for their apparent racism and prejudice towards white
people. Maybe it's time to start spreading the guilt around.

Eddie Bauer to close more stores. Eddie Bauer has already closed 27 shops in the first quarter and plans to close up to two more outlet stores by the end of the year.

Cache closing stores. Women's retailer Cache announced that it is closing 20 to 23 stores this year.

Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug, Catherines closing 150 stores nationwide.

The owner of retailers Lane Bryant , Fashion Bug , Catherine's Plus Sizes will close about 150 under performing stores this year.

Talbots, J. Jill closing stores. About a month ago, Talbot's announced that it will be shuttering all 78 of its kids and men's stores. Now the company says it will close another 22 under performing stores.. The 22 stores will be a mix of Talbot's women's and J. Jill , another chain it owns. The closures will occur this fiscal year, according to a company press release.

Gap Inc. closing 85 stores. In addition to its namesake chain, Gap also owns Old Navy and Banana Republic . The company said the closures - all planned for fiscal 2008 - will be weighted toward the Gap brand.

Foot Locker to close 140 stores.

Wickes is going out of business. Wickes Furniture is going out of business and closing all of its stores, Wickes, a 37-year-old retailer that targets middle-income customers, filed for bankruptcy protection last month.

Goodbye Levitz / BOMBAY - closed already. The furniture retailer, which is going out of business. Levitz first announced it was going out of business and closing all 76 of its stores in December. The retailer dates back to 1910 when Richard Levitz opened his first furniture store in Lebanon , PA. In the 1960's, the warehouse/showroom concept brought Levitz to the forefront of the furniture industry. The local Levitz closures will follow the shutdown of Bombay ..

Zales, Piercing Pagoda closing stores. The owner of Zales and Piercing Pagoda previously said it plans to close 82 stores by July 31. Today, it announced that it is closing another 23 under performing stores. The company said it's not providing a list of specific store closures. Of the 105 locations planned for closure, 50 are kiosks and 55 are stores.

Disney Store owner has the right to close 98 stores. The Walt Disney Company announced it acquired about 220 Disney Stores from subsidiaries of The Children's Place Retail Stores.

Home Depot store closings. (E. Brunswick, Rt 18 just put up their closing sign) ATLANTA - Nearly 7+ months after its chief executive said there were no plans to cut the number of its core retail stores, The Home Depot Inc. announced Thursday that it is shuttering 15 of them amid a slumping U.S. economy and housing market. The move will affect 1,300 employees. It is the first time the world's largest home improvement store chain has ever closed a flagship store for performance reasons.

Macy's - 9 stores

Movie Gallery - 160 stores as part of reorganization plan to exit bankruptcy. The video rental company plans to close 400 of 3,500 Movie Gallery and Hollywood Video stores in addition to the 520 locations the video rental chain closed last fall.

Pacific Sunwear - 153 Demo stores

Pep Boys - 33 stores

Sprint Nextel - 125 retail locations. New Sprint Nextel CEO Dan Hesse appears to have inherited a company bleeding subscribers by the thousands, and will now officially be dropping the ax on 4,000 employees and 125 retail locations. Amid the loss of 639,000 postpaid customers in the fourth quarter, Sprint will be cutting a total of 6.7% of its work force (following the 5,000 layoffs last year) and 8% of company-owned brick-and

J. C. Penney, Lowe's and Office Depot are scaling back

Ethan Allen Interiors: The company announced plans to close
12 of 300+ stores in an effort to cut costs.

Wilsons the Leather Experts - 158 stores

Pacific Sunwear will close its 154 Demo stores after a review of strategic alternatives for the urban-apparel brand. Seventy-four under performing Demo stores closed last May.

Sharper Image: The company recently filed for bankruptcy protection and announced that 90 of its 184 stores are closing. The retailer will still operate 94 stores to pay off debts, but 90 of these stores have performed poorly and also may close..

Bombay Company: (Freehold Mall store closed) The company unveiled plans to close all 384 U.S.-base d Bombay Company stores. The company's online storefront has discontinued operations.

Dillard's to Close More Stores. Dillard's Inc. said it will continue to focus on closing under performing stores, reducing expenses and improving its merchandise in 2008. At the company's annual shareholder meeting, CEO William Dillard II said the company will close another six under performing stores this year.

But the Philadlephia Black Panthers Headquarters will remain open in case any voter, for even a local election needs to be intimidated.

CitiGroup just announced a layoff plan for 52,000 people. This is in addition to the 23,000 already laid off from this January to September.

The headman quickly announced that these layoffs " would not guarantee profitability. " Citigroup Chairman Win Bischoff said at a business forum in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

It was AbuDhaby that rescued CitiGroup a few months back and now they will call the shots.

Consumer prices plunged by the largest amount in the past 61 years last week as gasoline pump prices dropped by a record amount.

The Labor Department said Wednesday that consumer prices fell by 1 percent, the bigges decline on record that goes back to February 1947. The drop was twice as large as the 0.5 percent decline analysts expected.

Why is this not good news? Because 2/3 of our economy is fueled by consumer spending and the price drops reflect that we are NOT spending.

Yes, and I want you to mentally tune in to my thoughts and maybe we can come up with an answer.

Now, we need to use a nmenonic to remember this. Although, we really shouldn't, as this number wil just go higher. So, forget the mnemonic you were going to use.

1201 will just have to stand by itself as to how far the Dow has dropped since the stupidgentsia of this country elected The Kenyan.

What in God's name is ths man doing to our economy? Or rather what faith are people showing in him as a leader?

Be careful what you wish for because it may happen. And be more careful with who you vote for because then you are stuck with them.

Market down another -444 points today with no end in site, as the nation once again demonstrated their faith in The Kenyan to step into office.

As you are well aware, autopsies are conducted to see the cause of how someone or some animal species died.

But I am going to give you the preview of late 2010 and early 2011 when your favorite Mall across the street from the big hotel is dark and so is the hotel, itself.

Malls from the Midwest to the South are staring foreclosure squarely in the face and it wll soon begin a deadly spiral, as defaults spiral through the commercial real estate market.

Defaults and late payments on commercial properties will quadruple by the 2nd .quarter of 2009. Businesses housed on these properties will go bankrupt, the city or town will lose property tax revenue and the local budget will be strained with severe impact to local services and educational institutions.

History, has shown survival in fairly difficult property times...when banks would renegotiate the term of the loan but banks don't own the loans anymore.

All these loans were bundled up and sold as investments to insurance companies, pension plans and hedge funds.

First, the hedge funds will fail because as people redeem the shares of hedge funds, these funds must sell off huge blocks of stock to raise the money for these redemptions which, in turn, drives down the price of the stock.

Next the pension funds cannot negotiate the terms of the underlying loans because the have a rate figured that is supposed to pay retirees forever.

That leaves the insurance companies, who withstood the depression, because of their huge capital reserves and will withstand this blip, also.

As a matter of fact, when all the bail out and posturing is done within the banking industry, in will step the insurance companies to buy the banks.

First off businesses carry mortgages from 5-10 years in length with substantial balloon payments at the end.

But the retailers are folding and defaulting on leases. In doing so, the mall does not have the cash to make their mortgage payment.

Banks will not and cannot at this time, refinance these malls mainly because these mall properties are not worth as much as the loan and they cannot take the risk, now that new oversight provisions are in place.

Approximately 23b of balloon payments will be due on mall properties in 2010 and the figure will increase 5 fold in 2011.

Malls will foreclose but their will be no buyers at the foreclosure sale because banks won't write new commercial loans because investors will not purchase them.

But it will be security firms...guarding the closed malls to make sure the copper thieves don't come in and strip the place bare.

And hotels, especially, at resort areas will suffer the same fate. No tourists with spendable capital and large debt service payments.

Letter by a Florida teacher... A teacher speaks:This is a subject close to my heart. Do you know that we have adult students at the school where I teach who are not US citizens and who get the PELL grant, which is a federal grant (no pay back required) plus other federal grants to go to school?

One student from the Dominican Republic told me that she didn't want me to find a job for her after she finished my program, because she was getting housing from our housing department and she was getting a PELL grant which paid for her total tuition and books, plus money leftover.
She was looking into WAIT which gives students a CREDIT CARD for gas to come to school, and into CARIBE which is a special program (check it out - I did) for immigrants and it pays for child care and all sorts of needs while they go to school or training. The one student I just mentioned told me she was not going to be a US Citizen because she plans to return to the Dominican Republic someday and that she 'loves HER country.'
I asked her if she felt guilty taking what the US is giving her and then not even bothering to become a citizen and she told me that it doesn't bother her, because that is what the money is there for!

I asked the CARIBE administration about their program and if you ARE a US Citizen, you don't qualify for their program. And all the while, I am working a full day, my son-in-law works more than 60 hours a week, and everyone in my family works and pays for our education.

Something is wrong here. I am sorry but after hearing they want to sing the National Anthem in Spanish - enough is enough. Nowhere did they sing it in Italian, Polish, Irish (Celtic), German or any other language because of immigration. It was written by Francis Scott Key and should be sung word for word the way it was written. The news broadcasts even gave the translation -- not even close. Sorry if this offends anyone but this is MY COUNTRY.
